“The structure, a 1955 cottage, was a former farm (we got to meet a gentleman who spent time here as a kid!), and it is simply a dream come true for myself and my husband, Tony! Experience the North Shore in a 1300 SF cottage on Lake Superior with private beach access! The grounds feature a charming creek, walking path, and over 7.5-acres to explore. Burlwood Cottage, a remodeled private escape, is appointed with great care to ensure a comfortable stay for you and your pup(s). You can relax and unwind watching Lake Superior's show from inside, enjoy a lakeside fire in the backyard, or a multitude of nearby seasonal activities.
We are absolutely dog-friendly, if we could require dogs we would. It’s kind of what lead to opening it up to others, as we had a tough time finding a place to stay that we loved and was also dog-friendly. We invite you to leave a photo of your dog(s) behind on the cork boards in the front twin bedroom. It's fun to see all that have visited!
